6th Grade

Sixth grade is a transitional year between the self contained classroom of fifth grade and the classroom changes of the seventh and eighth grades. The students are also guided in the development of organization skills necessary for upper middle school. Social studies and religion are taught by the sixth grade homeroom teacher. The students will then travel to take Spanish and science. Math and language arts are divided into groups by ability and the students will travel to these classrooms. The sixth graders act as mentors to their Kindergarten buddies.
