School of Saint Mary Home and School and Advisory Council
The School of Saint Mary has a very active Home and School organization and Advisory Council. The purpose of Home and School is to support and promote the goals of the School of Saint Mary. To achieve its objectives, the organization undertakes and promotes educational, social and spiritual projects. These projects include the Super Saint program, which introduces students to different saints and encourages them to use the saints as role models in their lives. Home and School facilitates the publication of a yearbook, Pizza Day once a month and other activities to encourage school spirit and a sense of community. Home and School sponsors several fundraising activities and all money generated directly benefits the students, enriches the curriculum of the school or supports capital expenditures.
The Advisory Council of the School of Saint Mary (School Board) serves as an advisory committee to the pastor and principal with regard to school issues. This committee meets monthly. Current issues concerning the school, school finances and the future growth and improvement of the school are addressed.
All interested parties are welcome to attend either Home and School meetings or Advisory Council meetings. Home and School meets the second Monday of every month and the Advisory Council meets the first Thursday of the month. Please check the Calendar portion of the website for more details.
Meeting minutes for both of these organizations are available online.
